Germade is a cooked wheat cereal comparable to Cream of Wheat cereals. Adding fruits can give it a great variety. It supplies a nutritious and healthy breakfast which makes it a great addition to your food storage.
Germade is a popular cooked breakfast cereal made from wheat that has had the bran and germ removed. The endosperm that is left is coarsely ground. It is comparable with cream of wheat cereals. It is satisfying as well as healthy which makes germade an ideal item for storing in your emergency food storage or pantry. Adding dehydrated or freeze dried fruits can be an additional treat.
Shelf Life
Ingredients: Blend of hard red winter wheat.
Contains: wheat.
Directions: For each 1 cup serving, heat 1 cup water and 1/4 tsp. salt to boiling. Add 1/4 cup germade slowly, stirring constantly. Return to boiling over medium heat; reduce heat. Cook 10 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently. For creamier cereal use milk and heat to near boiling.

Notes on buckets: Barometric pressure (elevation) can cause buckets to dent (concave or convex). Normally this is not a problem, buckets can be reshaped by removing the lid and pushing out any dents.
