Long grain brown rice is the choice for nutritious rice. Though it is not a long term storage item it is a popular choice in the menu which will allow you to rotate it out more frequently.
Long grain brown rice has a mild, nutty flavor and is more nutritious than white rice. However due to the natural oils and fats it contains, it is not suited for long-term food storage. The average time it stores is 6months to a year but if kept cool or refrigerated it may store longer.
